So I finally made the move from the UK to Abu Dhabi a couple of months ago and I shipped my 2018 Jeep Wrangler over because I just couldn't bear to part with it, but honestly I'm starting to have second thoughts now that we're getting into the real heat. Back home I never worried about things like coolant boiling over or the transmission getting too hot, but I've already noticed the temperature gauge creeping up a bit when I'm sitting in traffic and the air conditioning just about keeps up on the really scorching afternoons. I've been reading up on what kind of preventative maintenance makes sense in this climate and I'm wondering if I should be swapping out the coolant for something with a higher boiling point or maybe looking into an upgraded radiator fan setup. I'm also a bit paranoid about the battery because I know heat kills them faster and I really don't want to get stranded out in the middle of nowhere if I decide to take it out into the desert for some weekend fun.
